Pakistan cricket team bowling coach, Shaun Tait, has praised left-arm pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi and claimed that top batters across the globe don’t like facing him.

Australian pacer made the remarks during Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) podcast where he claimed that Shaheen Afridi’s presence can be intimidating for top batters.

“Sometimes it is not even his [Shaheen] pace, sometimes it’s about his presence, standing at the top of his mark, and world finest batter think they don’t want to face this bowler,” said Tait.

Shaun Tait claimed that watching Shaheen Afridi bowl is like being in a theatre.

“The way the crowd gets involved when he is bowling is all that theater. Most right-handers know they will be tested with an in-swinger but still, they don’t have any answers to it,” added Shaun Tait.

The former Australian speedster took on the job as Pakistan cricket team bowling coach earlier in February and had claimed back then that he was excited to see how the Pakistan bowlers develop in the coming months.

“I am pretty new to the job so the next 8-9 months are going to be very exciting to watch how these pacers progress,” said Shaun.

Speaking about his management style, Tait said that he tries not to complicate things and polishing the natural abilities of the bowlers instead of forcing things.

“All of these players have natural flair and ability and my job is to guide them. For me, it is all about keeping it simple and keeping on honing their natural skills add keeping their confidence up,” concluded Tait.
